I took my van in for an MOT on Wednesday which cost 45 even though two other places less than a couple of minutes away charge far less. My van failed which is fair enough. However, when I asked what needed doing was told the front coil spring and some welding to a strut that was dangerous if not done. I was not given a receipt for the 45 I paid and asked for a price to do the work. This started off at 300 and then went to 300 to 400 which no doubt would have had VAT added on. This garage can check on the MOT status of my van today that passed after the welding that needed doing was on the sill which is not a part of the chassis or indeed a major part of the van's structure. The coil was replaced and so was the whole strut as that was bent yet your tester failed to spot it. I hope the owner takes the time to look at what another garage says about my van and the points they failed to notice. I will also be reporting these failures to the Ministry of Transport as well as Trading Standards if my 45 is not returned and may I also point out they never told me if I would be able to have the work done and get a free re-test within 10-days or if I could get the work done and pay for a partial re-test. I am in no way critising the quality of this company's repairs as I have not had a repair by the but the cost of all work done to my van today came in at a total of 220. Less than half their price and with more work done.

Garage manager so helpful - had a nightmare of a time via Servicing Stop (Please avoid this company they are a scam). He advised me honestly on my vehicle and spent the time to go through details which should have been the job of Servicing Stop, in the end I was communicating only through this garage. Will possibly consider booking vehicle in with these guys directly next year!
Had an MOT performed. My car was working perfectly before the MOT and this garage found issues which amounted to over 800 worth of work. I agreed that they could perform the work. The car was returned and not 4 hours later has stopped working + the back seat was flooded both items they claim have nothing to do with them. I look forward to hearing from them.
