Nice pub very reasonable priced tasty food
Well presented bar and restaurant area. Food was lovely, naturally drawn towards the challenge burger called quadzilla which was very nice!
Food was okay,but most things are microwaved,as brought in frozen. So not bad but then the price of the food in any Hungry Horse,reflects the quality of the food.
Bar staff , lovely and helpful. My food, terrible. Ordered battered cod and chips with mushy peas. OMG. Peas looked as though they had been spooned out of the waste food bin. Batter on the cod was raw on the "other side" of the fish, the side laying on the plate, the chips were lukewarm and soggy. I am too polite to complain and was hungry so I ate the inside of the cod left the batter and the "peas" and the dried up tartar sauce... up to you... but I won't be eating there again.
Under staffed, bit old, no soap, no iron or iron board, reception said they were all being used. A customer told us Cars got broken into the night before we got there. Kettle didn't work, but on a positive note, bathroom was clean and functional the beds were really really comfortable, like super comfy and it's cheap.
