Always enjoy a sunday fry up here. Sadly this everything seemed overcooked. As if it had been left under a heat lamp (even though it was only warm) or re cooked. Felt we had to constantly asking for basic things, like side plates for toast, cutlery etc etc

Went for a Christmas dinner and the tables were laid beautifully. Drinks seemed very very expensive for a pub. Food was dry, flavourless and drowning in gravy. Stuffing was clearly premade balls they'd just cooked. Desert was just a giant meringue with ice cream sauce and some squirt cream! That's not a Pavlova. An absolute joke for the money.
We held my wife's wake here. They were fantastic. The food was really good. I felt that they did her proud and I must confess that I more than slightly basked in the reflected glory. A really warm and friendly team who do a good job.
We went for dinner on Saturday evening. We would highly recommend the steak. It was beautifully cooked, tender and melted in the mouth. The best steak we've had. Wonderful, friendly service too. Compliments to the management and chef. Will definitely come again.
