I have signed up for DW fitness for 6 months. They dont cancel it and renew the contract so make sure you cancelled. They are still charging me for 2 months even though I have cancelled it. No notifications and no email from DW about payment unless you check yourself. So also make sure you chekc your bank transfers and not getting charged . I would never signed up again!!!
My partner who is diabled only uses the swimming pool with a carer , on the visits so far she is not very happy as the temperature of the pool is well beyond an acceptable level even though it's been mentioned to the staff.On a recent visit as well ,young male children are allowed in the female changing rooms with parents which is very distressing and disturbing.This situation should not be allowed and a separate family area be allotted.My partner being a recent new member,The 40 cost per month is extremely high for the use of swimming pool only which obviously she can only use and not the gym and this was mentioned at sign up but was told it was an all in one membership ( this should be changed ).Overall the changing rooms are clean & tidy together the swimming areas .
DW has gone downhill over the last few years.You pay for peak membership and then they decide to cancel all morning classes (people who are off peak pay less get a good timetable of different and frequent classes). The machines are regularly broken and the changing rooms/showers/walls in the swimming pool are disgusting and never clean, it is a breeding ground for bacteria and they put the prices up recently for the pleasure! Ive been a member for nearly 9 years and when the new gym opens in Dunstable will be cancelling my membership.
Staff here are great, no reflection on them at all - but DW the chain are letting this place down. They have huge target membership numbers each month, but that's not reflected in the state of the facility. Tried to get in touch with customer services several times and have never received a response, they just don't care. Loads of stuff broken, dirty or unfit for purpose. 40 a month, and they have a passive aggressive note in the changing rooms about people not taking too many cheap plastic bags for wet swimwear... Greedy corporate chain that doesn't put an adequate portion of profits back into this location to serve its members.
nice gym but there is issues, i was trying to ask a member of staff a question but i did not know that some PT's can wear their own clothes or being on their personnel phones whilst training a paying customer. reception staff always friendly, there is one that is always smiling and can always have a bit of banter with. not sure of the name but a good person. All in all the gym is always tidy but some pt's need to concentrate on their clients rather than their phones or each other!
