Disappointing menu and service. Decided to go last minute for dinner, two of us. If you like cheese on your burger you have a good selection, no plain burgers on the menu. Pub classics available but very limited. Service was very slow, could be due to our seating location Restaurant was not busy so no excuse really. Will think twice before returning.

Food is tremendous, they do really tasty burgers and made my steak to perfection for me.The one thing I think they could improve on is the customer service to be seated the gentlemen wasn't rude but it was all very transactional, before we even got to the table he'd put the menus down and had gone not much interaction or anything.Other than that it was clean, tidy, food was great and waitress was lovely she gave us enough time to choose, checked to make sure we had enough condiments and a great smile and made light conversation.

Good "beefeater standard" food, fast service, nice staff. Free parking and convenient location, although not the most tranquil or romantic place next to a busy roundabout. Keep an eye on discounts, they often do a 40% off selected mains voucher that you can find online.

My family and I love eating here! The food is always hot and cooked just right and tastes delicious! The only criticism would be I really wish they had the lobster in stock as every single time Ive come in and asked for it its never been in available. The waitresses also always seem a little off, impersonal-not really welcoming.. it could be the style of training here, Im not sure. This restaurant is always clean and has a cosy feel to it which I love especially as we are in the festive season. Ladies toilets are clean and have easy access. It does get busy depending on the time of year or day but we always book in advance. This restaurant is very family friendly, the kids menu is nice and my son enjoys it. I also really appreciate that theres a premier inn right next door, its great if you have friends visiting up here, our friends normally stay at the hotel and we pop over to beefeater to have a lovely meal. Would definitely recommend!!!

Good food and service. No complaints.Over the years the Halfway House Beefeater has evolved from a pub to part pub/part restaurant, to now being a restaurant only. I like it this way. I also appreciate the range of varied styled furniture and different areas. This permitted our small group to request a quiet area and be able to hear each other over all the other diners, as is not often the case in most restaurants.Main courses were all good and it's nice to see the seasonal menu changes with new items such as Argentinean steaks. Our group all chose different meals: steak, salmon, meat pie, big beefburger, and everyone was very satisfied. We all had desserts. Two of us had the toffee and cream sundae but we were a little disappointed that there didn't seem much to it.We would all go again and prefer this Beefeater to others in the area we have been to this year.
